With the 118th pick (4th round) in the 2016 NFL Draft, the New York Jets selected cornerback Juston Burris out of North Carolina State University. While at NC State, Burris was a three year starter that was a major part of some very impressive wins.
My favorite memory as a member of the Wolfpack was beating #3 Florida State on prime time television.” Burris told us in an exclusive interview. “But my favorite game was playing UNC at their place, and dominating them 35-7.”
The 6’0″ 210 pound defensive back was added to a group that included future hall of famer Darrelle Revis, and veterans Buster Skrine and Marcus Williams.
“There were a few people around that 118th pick that told me if I was there at their pick I was getting selected. So when the jets came up and I saw that Florham Park,NJ come up on my phone all I could do was smile. When I found out I was coming to the Big Apple, I was super excited. There’s no better place to be.”
“My favorite memory of my rookie year was getting in on my very first play on defense and deflecting a pass.”
“Stay tuned. It’s going to be a VERY fun season!”
