Juston Burris: The Wolfpack of Wall Street

With the 118th pick (4th round) in the 2016 NFL Draft, the New York Jets selected cornerback Juston Burris out of North Carolina State University. While at NC State, Burris was a three year starter that was a major part of some very impressive wins.

My favorite memory as a member of the Wolfpack was beating #3 Florida State on prime time television.” Burris told us in an exclusive interview. “But my favorite game was playing UNC at their place, and dominating them 35-7.”

The 6’0″ 210 pound defensive back was added to a group that included future hall of famer Darrelle Revis, and veterans Buster Skrine and Marcus Williams.

“There were a few people around that 118th pick that told me if I was there at their pick I was getting selected. So when the jets came up and I saw that Florham Park,NJ come up on my phone all I could do was smile. When I found out I was coming to the Big Apple, I was super excited. There’s no better place to be.”
Burris’ impact on the field was felt almost immediately as he intercepted a pass in the final preseason game of 2016 against the Eagles. As the season progressed, Juston got more opportunities to showcase his talents. He earned his first start of his professional career and logged his first regular season interception against the Dolphins in week 15. His favorite memory, though?
My favorite memory of my rookie year was getting in on my very first play on defense and deflecting a pass.”
With a full season under his belt and the departure of Darrelle Revis in the offseason, Burris figures to be a much bigger part of Gang Green’s defense in 2017. As he looks to build upon a solid rookie campaign, he has only one message for Jets fans.
“Stay tuned. It’s going to be a VERY fun season!”
We recently partnered with Juston on the latest of our “Young Guns” t-shirt series and he will be hand signing glossy artist’s prints of the design that will be mailed out with the first 100 that are sold. You can pick one up at
